COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The No. 1-ranked Maryland field hockey team will close out one of the most successful regular seasons in program history Friday night against No. 12 Stanford. The Terrapins will host senior night festivities prior to the game's start, which is at 7 p.m.

The Terps are 17-0 overall and 5-0 in the ACC on the season, both firsts in program history. Maryland is coming off of a 4-1 win over No. 2 North Carolina last weekend. With the win, the Terrapins clinched the ACC regular season title and the No. 1-seed in the ACC tournament next weekend.

SUPERB SENIORS
Maryland will be honoring seniors Brianna Davies, Kristina Foster, Nicole Muracco, Emma Thomas, Alexis Pappas, Alicia Grater, and Ameliet Rischen prior to Friday's game. Over the last four years, this class has earned a record of 80-7, earning a spot as one of the most successful classes in school history.

PLAYING THE BEST
This weekend's game will be the twelfth total and sixth straight against a ranked opponent for the Terrapins this season. Prior to last Saturday, Maryland had never played and beaten six consecutive ranked teams in the regular season.

RECORD-BREAKERS
Senior Nicole Muracco became the all-time career goals leader at Maryland this year with her two goals in the Terps' win over No. 20 Old Dominion. She is four goals away from owning the school's single season goal record. Senior goalkeeper Alicia Grater had a career-high 12 saves against UNC last weekend.

SUPER SCORERS
Maryland is the only ACC team to have four players in double-digits in goal-scoring. Senior Nicole Muracco has 24, junior Katie O'Donnell has 19, senior Emma Thomas has 17 and freshman Megan Frazer has 10.

POWER PENALTY CORNERS
So far, the Terrapins have had the upper-hand over their opponents when it comes to penalty corners. Coming into Saturday's game, the Terps have shot 143 penalty corner opportunities and have given up just 87.
