Maryland-Virginia Tech Game Time Announced

Nov. 2, 2009

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Kickoff for the University of Maryland's home football game vs. Virginia Tech University on Saturday, Nov. 14 has been set for 1 p.m. ET.

The Atlantic Coast Conference office made the announcement Monday.

The matchup will be streamed live over the internet on ESPN360. The Terrapin Sports Radio Network, including flagship station WJZ-FM 105.7 in Baltimore and WJFK-FM 106.7 in Washington, D.C., will also broadcast the game.

The Terrapins (2-6, 1-3 ACC) play at North Carolina State (3-5, 0-4) Saturday before returning home to face Virginia Tech.

The Terps and Hokies have not played each in College Park since 2005. Maryland leads the all-time series 15-14, but Virginia Tech has won the last four.

During the game, the Terrapins and Under Armour will honor the Wounded Warrior Project, a not-for-profit organization that provides programs and services for injured service members and their families.

Maryland will wear specially designed head-to-toe uniforms. The Terps will take the field in black and desert camouflage uniforms featuring the Wounded Warrior Project logo. The uniforms will also have a unique twist; a core value embellishment - Duty, Honor, Courage, Commitment, Integrity, Country, and Service - will replace the players' last name on the back of each jersey.

Wounded Warrior and Under Armour will create special make-up products for fans to wear on gameday to show their support. The gear will be sold in college book stores, local military base exchanges, and on-line at www.underarmour.com. A percentage of the fan gear proceeds will be donated to the Wounded Warrior Project. Additionally, a select number of game jerseys will be auctioned off after the game on umterps.com.

ACC home games are selected on a 12-day option by ESPN/ABC or Raycom Sports. Four times during the season, ESPN/ABC can choose certain ACC games on a six-day window.

Tickets for home games are available through the Maryland Athletics Ticket Office. Fans may call 1-800-IM-A-TERP or click here.
