Freshman Sam Rosario recorded a team-best 15 digs and added to her league lead in service aces Friday evening against Clemson, but the visiting Tigers defeated the University of Maryland volleyball team, 3-0, in an Atlantic Coast Conference match at Comcast Pavilion.
Clemson (19-7, 9-5 ACC) hit .326 in the match to knock off the Terrapins in straight sets, 25-18, 25-14 and 25-15.
Sophomore Maddi Lee led the Terps (11-16, 3-11 ACC) with eight kills and Katie Usher, Brittney Grove and Kara Bates added five each. However, Maryland couldn't find an offensive rhythm, hitting .083 for the match.
Sandra Adeleye led Clemson with 13 kills on .524 hitting with six blocks and Lia Proctor added 12 kills.
Maryland returns to Comcast Pavilion at 1 p.m. Sunday against Georgia Tech.
