Terrapin Club Celebrates 25th Anniversary

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Terrapin Club hosted the 14th Annual Heritage Society Reception Saturday, following the Maryland Men's Basketball victory over Eastern Kentucky. The ceremony recognized Terrapin Club members celebrating their 25th anniversary of membership.
The Heritage Society was formed in 1996 by the Terrapin Club Board of Directors' Recognition Committee, chaired by Jane McCarl. The purpose of the Society is to celebrate the dedication and loyalty of those members who have been involved in the Terrapin Club for 25 consecutive years or more, regardless of the amount of dollars they may have donated. At the Inaugural Heritage Society event, more than 170 members were inducted. Today we will recognize over 130 new members, increasing the total number of members in the Heritage Society to almost 900.
The annual Col. Tom M. Fields Award was given to women's lacrosse player Caitlyn McFadden, for overall excellence for a student-athlete.
