
Terps Set to Host Maryland Outdoor Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - A host of talented track and field student-athletes will compete this Saturday when the Terrapins host the Maryland Invitational outdoor meet at the Kehoe Track Complex. This will be a tune up with some athletes running off events to prepare for the season and upcoming Florida Relay meet.
On the female side, the Terps have a large field of competitors in the 800m. Kelley Pry, Erin Matyus, Christina Nelson are just a few among others who will compete in the event.
In the field, Ashley Williams is looking to hit the Regional standards in the throws along with teammates Kristen Batts and Jessie Echard.
Kiani Profit and Melony McKay will be competing in the 400m hurdles while, Chanel Williams, who qualified for Regionals last week in the long hurdles, will compete in the 100m hurdles this weekend.
D'Ambour Lewis, DeAnna Brown, Alexis Booker and Heidi Paul will tune up in the 100m/200m.
On the men's side, Jeremy Samuels and Floyd Hawkes will compete in the 200m dash and in the field, Jason Allen will attempt to reach the Regional standard in the long jump that he just missed last week.
Tommy Frisicia will compete in the 800m and Anthony Walker will be focusing on the 400m dash.
Freshmen Zack Ray will compete in both the 400m hurdles and the 110m hurdles in addition to the long jump as teammate Legonn Haskins will look to better his time in the 110m hurdles.
David Edwards-Brennan will compete in the high jump while Dwight Barbiasz will rest coming off of the NCAA competition.
