
Athletics to Serve as Host to Events During Maryland Day

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - For the 11th year straight year, the University of Maryland, College Park is opening its doors to alumni and their families, prospective students, the business community and residents of the surrounding Baltimore-Washington Metro area.
From 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Saturday, April 25 (rain or shine), our beautiful campus will buzz with activity as visitors join students, faculty, staff and their families for a day of learning, exploration, and fun for the entire community.

Featured athletics activities during Maryland Day include:
All Day: Comcast Center Tours
11 a.m. - Noon: Train Like the Terps, Glazer Auditorium, Gossett Football Team House
A presentation by our strength & conditioning and athletic training staffs on healthy eating and Terp-inspired workouts. A tour of our football weight room will follow.
Noon - 1 p.m.: Maryland Men's Basketball Autograph Session, Comcast Center Pavilion
Join head coach Gary Williams and Terp players for a photo and autograph session. One photo and autograph per person; line will be limited to the first 500 people. Doors open at 10 a.m.
Noon - 1 p.m.: Maryland Women's Basketball Autograph Session, Comcast Center Pavilion
Join head coach Brenda Frese and Terp players for a photo and autograph session. One photo and autograph per person; line will be limited to the first 500 people. Doors open at 10 a.m.
12:30 - 1:30 p.m.: Maryland Football Autograph Session, Concourse, Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium
Meet head coach Ralph Friedgen and the Terps. Get autographs and pictures with the 2009 team. Limit one item per person. Gate F (west side) will open at noon.
1:30 - 3:30 p.m.: Terrapin Club Ice Cream Social, Concourse, Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium
Stop by the tent on the concourse for the Terrapin Club's Ice Cream Social. The event is free for all members and membership information will be available at the tent. Enjoy complimentary ice cream from the Dairy, tour the new suites and mezzanine seating area, and learn about the construction of the new Byrd addition.
3:30 p.m.: Maryland's Annual Red & White Spring Football Game, Chevy Chase Bank Field at Byrd Stadium.
Experience a Maryland tradition. See the Terps in action at their final scrimmage of the spring and be among the first fans to see the 2009 Terps. Gates open at noon, with an autograph session at 12:30 p.m. Kickoff is set for 3:30 p.m. Fans may enter through Gate F (west side) and Gate C (north side). Due to construction, fans will not be allowed on the press box side of the stadium.
