BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - Maryland's Blaise Stanicic and Elina Goldenberg earned CWPA Southern Division Player of Week awards, the conference office announced Monday.

Stanicic was named the player of the week, while Goldenberg secured freshman of the week accolades.

Stanicic, a senior playing in her final games, scored six goals for the Terrapins, who claimed third place at last weekend's the CWPA Eastern Championship.

The finish was the best ever for the Terps in their six-year history.

Goldenberg was the division's top freshman for the fourth time this season. She garnered rookie of the week honors on Feb. 16, March 30 and April 20, and was named player of the week on March 2.

Goldenberg had four goals in Sunday's 12-8 victory over Brown in the third-place game.
