POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: CHAMPS/Life Skills Intern
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics (Academic Support & Career Development - ASCDU)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The CHAMPS/Life Skills Intern will assist ASCDU in the operation of the CHAMPS/Life Skills Program along with additional office duties as assigned. This will include assisting in coordinating the meetings and activities of the Student Athlete Advisory Committee (SAAC); Career Development Programs; Community Service Projects; Personal Development Programs/Workshops; and duties as assigned as a part of the overall CHAMPS/ Life Skills program. Additional responsibilities will be to assist in the instruction of UNIV 100 course; assist in the coordination of the ILP Program (Intensive Learning Program). The CHAMPS/Life Skills Intern will report directly to the CHAMPS/Life Skills Coordinator.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree preferred, but not required. Experience working with student-athletes. Must have a working knowledge of NCAA academic rules and procedures. Strong oral and written communication skills are needed. Must be computer literate. Candidate must be able to work non-traditional hours if necessary, approximately 30-40 hours per week.
SALARY: $10.00 - $12.00 per hour
