
Maryland Water Polo Announces Addition of New Players

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland water polo coach Carl Salyer announced the addition of three student-athletes to play for the Terrapins.
Olivia Trimis of Crescenta Valley, Calif., Ariel Oakley of Heathrow, Fla., and Alexandria Hill of Baytown, Texas, have committed to join the team in the fall of 2009.
The Terps will carry eight freshmen on their roster to replace the eight graduating seniors from this year's squad.
"These girls will provide our team with depth and talent for the next four years," said Salyer. "We're proud to introduce them to the Terrapin family."

ARIEL OAKLEY (Heathrow, Fla.; Bishop Moore Catholic HS; Miami Riptides Club Team)
Four-year varsity water polo player and swimmer... Southeast Zone Junior Team in 2007 and 2008... played with the Miami Riptides Club Team for three seasons, finishing 4th at the Junior Olympics 18U in 2008 and 9th place at the 16U in 2007... awarded BMCHS MVP in 2008 and Best All-Around Athlete in 2007.
ALEXANDRIA HILL (Baytown, Tex.; Ross S. Sterling HS; Houston Water Polo Club)
Four-year varsity water polo and swimming... Southwest Zone Junior Team in 2007, 2008, and 2009... First Team All-Region, Second Team All-State in 2009... Texas State Champion in 2008 & 2009, going undefeated in 2008... Varsity team captain in 2009... played with Houston Water Polo Club, playing at Junior Nationals 2006-2008 and at Women's 20U Nationals 2007 and 2008.
OLIVIA TRIMIS (La Crescenta, Calif.; Crescenta Valley)
Three-year varsity water polo player... made First Team All-Pacific League and Second Team All-CIF in 2009, Second Team All-Pacific in 2008... Varsity Captain in 2009... made All-Tournament Team at Pacific View Tournament 2009.
