
USC and UCLA to Play for Water Polo Title Sunday in College Park

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Top-seeded USC and No. 3 seed UCLA will square off Sunday in the finals of the 2009 National Collegiate Women's Water Polo Championship which is being held on the University of Maryland campus.
USC (26-1) reached the title game by virtue of its 17-5 semifinal victory over fourth-seeded Hawai'i Saturday afternoon.
UCLA (24-6) needed a late rally to upset second-seeded Stanford (25-4) in the final game of the day.
The Bruins trailed 10-8 with under 5:00 to go, but scored four of the last five goals, including the game-winning buzzer beater by Megan Burmeister, to post a 12-11 victory.
USC and UCLA will match up in the title game for the second straight season. The Bruins have won the last four national crowns, but the Trojans are riding a 16-game winning streak.
Sunday's championship game begins at 7 p.m. ET from the Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium. The contest will be televised live on CBS College Sports Television (Note: There is no video streaming of Sunday's games).
