
Incoming Freshman Competes in the Water Polo Junior World Championship

Khanty-Mansiysk, Russia - Incoming Maryland freshman Allison Campbell competed in the 2009 Water Polo Junior World Championship last week.
Campbell is a British Columbia native and competed for the Canadian team. Team Canada was knocked out of the competition Thursday after being defeated by the Netherlands 8-6 in the quarterfinal round.
Campbell will join a Maryland squad which is on the rise. The Terps finished third in the 2009 CWPA Eastern Championship, their best finish in program history, and return a skilled roster.
On Nov. 8 2025, Malik Washington rushed for a career-high 164 yards at Rutgers.
