Maryland-Virginia Tech Game Sold Out

Aug. 25, 2009

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The University of Maryland and Virginia Tech will play before a sold-out Capital One Field at Byrd Stadium, the department of athletics announced Tuesday.

The Terrapins and Hokies are scheduled to play on Saturday, Nov. 14. Game time will be announced in early November.

"This is a tremendous show of support for our team," said Brian Ullmann, senior associate athletics director. "We have a great home schedule this year, and we look forward to more sellouts this season."

Despite the sellout, Terrapin fans still have a chance to see the game in person as a limited number of tickets are being held in reserve, exclusively for new season-ticket holders. In addition, new suites and mezzanine seats remain available on a multi-year, annual and single-game basis.

Season tickets for the seven-game home slate are still available for as low as $135 and single-game tickets went on sale Saturday. Season-ticket packages will remain on sale until the first home game (James Madison, Sept. 12).

Fans may contact the Maryland Athletics Ticket Office at 1-800-IM-A-TERP or click here for more information on season tickets.

The Terps kick off the regular season on Saturday, Sept. 5 when the Terps play at No. 12 California.
