Terp Trio Named to All-ACC Women's Golf Academic Team

GREENSBORO, N.C. - Three Maryland women's golfers were named to the 2009 All-Atlantic Coast Conference Academic Team, the league office recently announced.
The Terrapins' Alexis Holmes, Hilary Lawson and Lara Peffley earned spots on the 21-member All-Academic Team. To be eligible for consideration for the All-ACC Academic Team, a student-athlete must have earned a 3.00 grade point average for the previous semester and maintained a 3.00 cumulative average during his academic career.
Holmes, a freshman in 2008-09, is an English major from West Chester, Pa. Lawson, a Gaithersburg, Md., native, and Peffley, from Lebanon, Pa., are both Agriculture Resource Economics majors. Peffley was a senior last year while Lawson wrapped up her sophomore campaign.
