Box Score

DURHAM, N.C. - Sophomore Remy McBain recorded her first career triple-double with 40 assists, 18 digs and 10 kill, but Maryland's attempt at a second consecutive comeback rally fell short as the Terps (12-5, 3-2 ACC) lost to Duke (12-2, 4-0 ACC) 3-2 Friday night in Durham, N.C.

One night after coming back from a 2-1 deficit against Wake Forest, the Terps found themselves down 2-1 again against the Blue Devils, but Maryland was unable to rally in the fifth and final set, as they did one night prior.

Freshman Sarah Harper set a new career-high with 14 digs and freshman Mary Cushman led the Terps with 12 kills, but the Blue Devils, whom were led by junior Amanda Robertson and her 19 kills and match-high .471 attack percentage, were too much for Maryland as they won the tiebreaking set 15-10 to clinch the game and continue the team's undefeated record in the ACC.

After sealing Maryland's win against Wake Forest, Maddi Lee once again scored the Terps' final point of the night; Lee's fifth-set kill tied the game, 10-10, however Duke would score on five consecutive plays to win the set and the game.

The Terps and head coach Tim Horsmon will return home to College Park to host the Virginia Tech Hokies Friday at 7 p.m. and then the Virginia Cavaliers on Sunday at 2 p.m. Gametracker live stats will be available for both games.
