COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland field hockey team (14-1, 4-0 ACC), ranked No. 2 in the latest Kookaburra / NFHCA Division I National Coaches Poll, will play host to local rival No. 7 American Wednesday night at 7 p.m. The top-ten matchup will be broadcast live on TerpsTV Premium.

Maryland owns the all-time series over American 33-1. The Eagles are 13-2 on the season and have won their last 12 straight games this year.
The Terrapins have won 14 of their last 15 games heading into Wednesday's matchup. The game against American opens a tough three-game stretch to close the regular season. Saturday, Maryland will host No. 1 North Carolina at 1 p.m. and next Saturday, Oct. 30, it will host No. 10 Louisville at noon.
