
Grove Named ACC Player of the Week

Maryland's Brittney Grove was honored Monday by the Atlantic Coast Conference for her play in the Terps' weekend sweep of Wake Forest and Duke.
Grove was voted the league's player of the week after recording a combined 25 digs and 22 kills on .321 hitting on Friday and Sunday.
Against Wake Forest on Nov. 12, Grove led the Terps with 14 digs and knocked in six kills and one service ace.
On Sunday's Senior Day, in Grove's final home game, the Glen Allen, Va. native recorded a double-double with a career-high 16 kills and 11 digs in Maryland's upset win over first-place Duke. The victory was Grove's senior class' first and the program's first since Oct. 16, 2005.
By topping Wake Forest and Duke in a three-day span, Grove and Maryland also earned their first ACC weekend sweep of the season.
