Quick Hits: Maryland fell to 6-3 overall this season and 3-2 in the ACC with its 26-20 loss to Miami. The Terps had been 3-0 in games decided by seven points or less this season, but a 35-yard touchdown pass from Stephen Morris to Leonard Hankerson with under a minute to play ended that streak ... despite the loss, the Terps still control their own destiny in the ACC Atlantic Division race. They are tied for second with NC State and trailing Florida State (4-2) by a half game.

Smith Sets the Mark: Torrey Smith set the ACC record for career kickoff return yards on his first return of the game, a 21-yarder. The junior now has 2,724 return yards in his career. Brandon Tate of North Carolina (2,688; 2005-08) was the previous record holder.

Spreading it Around: A total of 18 different players have scored a touchdown for the Terrapins this year, the most in Ralph Friedgen's tenure. Kevin Dorsey caught the first touchdown pass of his career in the second quarter and Alex Wujciak scored his first touchdown of the season on a 60-yard interception return.

Wujciak Does it Again: Alex Wujciak intercepted Miami QB Stephen Morris in the second quarter and returned it 60 yards for a touchdown, the second pick-6 of his career. He then intercepted Morris again in the third quarter and returned it 26 yards. In 2009, Wujciak set the Maryland single-season record for interception return yards with 152. With today's returns, he is now second in career interception return yards with 238 (also Bill McFadden, 1979-82). Tom Brown ranks No. 1 (275; 1960-62). He is one of just five players in Maryland history with two interception returns for touchdowns.

An Offensive Defense: The Terps have scored four touchdowns on defense this season: Demetrius Hartsfield had a 14-yard interception return against Morgan State; Kenny Tate had an 8-yard interception return against Wake Forest; Ryan Donohue had a 25-yard interception return against Wake Forest; and Wujciak had his 60-yarder today. Maryland has six defensive TDs in the last 12 games. The Terps are outscoring opponents 73-7 off turnovers this season.

Picking Off Passes: The Terps already have 13 interceptions this season, the most since 2007 when they also had 13. Seven of those interceptions have come from linebackers (Adrian Moten - 3; Alex Wujciak - 2; Demetrius Hartsfield - 1; Ryan Donohue - 1).

Running Away: Davin Meggett had a team-high 70 yards rushing, much of it coming on a 37-yard run in the second quarter. It was Maryland's 11th run of 20-plus yards this season.

O'Brien Sets Record: Danny O'Brien had 134 passing yards against Miami, giving him 1,282 on the season, which is a Maryland record for a freshman. Calvin McCall previously owned the record with 1,264 yards in 1999.

Tackling Tate: Safety Kenny Tate tied his career high with 12 tackles and set his career high with 11 solo stops. He also had a pass break-up.

Turnover Margin: Maryland won the turnover battle against Miami, committing just one and forcing two. The Terps are now plus-11 on the season. They are 5-2 in games they win the turnover battle.

Tidbits: David Mackall recorded his first career sack in the first quarter, dropping Stephen Morris for a 4-yard loss, and had another sack in the fourth quarter ... Will Yeatman made his first start of the season ... Danny O'Brien's lone interception was the first in his last 78 throws ... Travis Baltz matched a season high with a 62-yard punt late in the fourth quarter. Baltz averaged 47.5 yards per punt on six punts for the day.
