Maryland Introduces TerpsMobile For iPhone

COLLEGE PARK, MD. - The University of Maryland Athletic Department, in conjunction with their official athletic web site partner, CBS Interactive, recently unveiled TerpsMobile, the official iPhone application of Maryland Athletics. TerpsMobile offers iPhone owners easy access to up-to-the-minute Terps news, scores, schedules, rosters and streaming audio and video. TerpsMobile is $4.99 per year and can be downloaded from the iTunes store or from the App Store on your iPhone.
The application provides iPhone owners an interface that gives them immediate mobile access to essential information from umterps.com, the official athletic web site of Maryland Athletics. Fans no longer have to wait until they have access to a computer or internet connection to keep up with their favorite Maryland sport. Now they can take it with them!
The initial launch of TerpsMobile includes access to the following features:
HEADLINES
Breaking news, by sport, available exclusively from umterps.com
SCORES
Updated score, schedule and venue information for each contest, and results from past events.
SCHEDULES
Complete schedules for each sport by date, time, location and opponent. Includes home and away team rosters and bio information for each athlete.
AUDIO/VIDEO
Select on-demand audio and video clips, as well as streaming audio for select live events.
Future versions of TerpsMobile may include access to:
- Subscription access to premium audio and video content through your iPhone.
- Subscribe to TerpsTV and experience premium multimedia when you're away from your computer.
- Live play-by-play through GameTracker.
The TerpsMobile iPhone application is only compatible with iPhone and iPod Touch and requires iPhone OS 2.0 or later.
