COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Former Terrapins Bruce Campbell and Nolan Carroll were selected during Saturday's NFL Draft and four of their teammates will try and join them on rosters next season.

Offensive lineman Phil Costa (Dallas Cowboys), defensive lineman Travis Ivey (Miami Dolphins), running back Cory Jackson (San Diego Chargers) and defensive back Terrell Skinner (Minnesota Vikings) each signed free agent deals with NFL teams, according to the players.

A two-time Academic All-Atlantic Coast Conference performer, Costa played in 40 career games, starting 30, including all 12 last season at center.

Ivey, who played in the 2010 Texas vs. the Nation all-star game, served as a formidable run-stopper from his tackle position. He played in 32 career games and started all 12 last season.

Ivey will hope to join Carroll on the Miami roster as the former defensive back was picked 14th in the fifth round (145 overall) by the Dolphins.

Campbell was selected with the eighth choice in the fourth round (106th overall) by the Oakland Raiders.

Jackson and Skinner also played in postseason all-star games, seeing action in the 2010 Under Armour Senior Bowl.

A durable fullback and standout special teams performer during his career, Jackson earned honorable mention All-America accolades from Pro Football Weekly last season. He played in 50 of a possible 51 games over the last four years.

Skinner, a two-year starter at free safety, ranked third on the team in tackles (67) last season.

In addition to the four free agent signees, defensive back Anthony Wiseman has also earned a minicamp tryout with the New York Jets in hopes of securing a deal.

Defensive lineman Jared Harrell, defensive backs Jamari McCollough and Richard Taylor, and quarterback Chris Turner are other Terps from last year's squad hoping to either sign free agent deals or earn tryouts with NFL teams.
