Quick hits: Maryland suffered its first loss of the season with the 31-17 defeat ... the Terps fell to 21-24-2 all-time against the Mountaineers, and have lost five straight in the series.

Career longs for Robinson: Jamarr Robinson went 13 of 24 for 227 yards and two touchdowns in the game. It was the most passing yards in Robinson's young career, surpassing the 213 he threw for against Florida State last season. It was also the second consecutive game for him with multiple touchdown passes. Robinson hooked up with Torrey Smith on a 60-yard touchdown in the third quarter, which at the time was the longest passing play of his career. Later in the quarter, though, he hit Smith again on an 80-yard touchdown.

Smith as well: With 149 receiving yards, Torrey Smith recorded the fourth 100-yard receiving game of his career. That mark ties him for sixth all-time on Maryland's 100-yard games list (see list below). His 80-yard reception was the longest of his career, beating his previous best of a 64-yarder against MTSU last season. The passing play was Maryland's longest since Chris Turner threw an 80-yard TD to Heyward-Bey on 9/6/08 against MTSU. It was also the third game of Smith's career with multiple touchdown receptions and his second consecutive. The 149 receiving yards were the second most of his career (164 vs. MTSU 9/19/09). Smith now has 1,356 receiving yards in his career which is 13th on Maryland's career list.

Smith totaled 242 all-purpose yards in the game (149 receiving, 93 kickoff return yards) and is now third on Maryland's career list with 3,934. He is just 16 behind Jermaine Lewis for second, while LaMont Jordan holds the school record with 4,960.

Booming Baltz: Travis Baltz continued his standout play on special teams, handling punting and place-kicking duties. The senior, who came into the game with a 46.3 ypp average on the season, averaged 45.3 yards on seven punts. He put four punts inside the Mountaineers' 20 and two inside the 10. He also made his only field goal attempt, a 35-yarder, and was also good on both of his PATs.

Tidbits: Kenny Tate's interception in the third quarter was the third of his career ... the 53-yard yard return was the longest of his career ... Will Yeatman and Taylor Watson both saw action for the first time this season ... Alex Wujciak led Maryland with 16 tackles and has posted double-digit tackles in 19 of his last 24 games ... by forcing three turnovers and committing just one, the Terps are now plus-4 in the turnover department this season.
