
No. 2 Maryland to Host Terrapin Invitational

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland field hockey team will play host to the annual Terrapin Invitational tournament this weekend, as it welcomes No. 20 American, New Hampshire and Rutgers to College Park. The Terps, ranked No. 2 in the latest Kookaburra/National Field Hockey Coaches Association poll, will take on New Hampshire and Rutgers as part of the event.
Maryland and New Hampshire will open the tournament Saturday at 11 a.m., while American and Rutgers will play directly after. The game is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. American and New Hampshire will play at noon Sunday, followed by the Terps and the Scarlet Knights at 2 p.m.
Admission is free for all fans wishing to attend the weekend's games. Fans planning to attend Saturday's games should park in lot 4i, the lot directly next to the Field Hockey & Lacrosse Complex. Parking will be free in that lot prior to noon. After noon, all fans will be charged $15 to park.
The Terps are 3-0 heading into the weekend, most recently beating No. 17 Old Dominion 3-1 in College Park last Friday. After trailing in the first half, the Terps scored three straight goals to win. Maryland has won its last three straight matched in the Terrapin Invitational.
