Terps Look for Third Fall Title at Palmetto

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland women's golf team travels to Kiawah Island, S.C., this weekend for its final fall tournament the Palmetto Intercollegiate at the par-72, 5,907-yard Oak Point Golf Course. The event consists of three round of play to begin Sunday and conclude Monday.

The Terps enter the weekend having won their past two events, the UNCG Starmount Classic and the Lady Pirate Invitational. Freshman Juliet Vongphoumy has back-to-back second place finishes and leads the Terps in scoring (73.64).

The first round begins Sunday at 8:45 a.m. and will feature a shotgun start. The second round will begin immediately following the conclusion of the first round.

Other teams competing in the Palmetto Intercollegiate include: Bucknell, Campbell, Charleston Southern, The Citadel, College of Charleston, East Tennessee State, Elon, Illinois State, Jacksonville State, Kansas, Kansas State, Morehead State, Richmond, South Dakota State, UNC Greensboro, Western Carolina and William & Mary.
