Hellooooooo waTERPolo fans!
We're coming up on week 5 of preseason and our team has been doing awesome. The freshmen class as a whole have come in and made an immediate impact to our game. The team has a great attitude and we're really working as one in every single practice. This week was extra awesome because we had 2 training matches, and we're all starting to fill in our roles!
Our new strength coach, Brent, has been getting us into shape in the weight room. We're still focusing a lot on technique and injury prevention to make sure we are all healthy and strong. Friday circuits have us all "glistening" (as Carl would say) by the end, but we're looking forward to our Halloween Bods!!
This week outside of the pool, one of our very own, Carly Hoshko went to ACC SAAC meeting in Greensboro, North Carolina with Chris Brown from Track and Field. They got to meet with other student-athletes in the ACC and talked about NCAA legislation, volunteer work, and how to get involved in our local communities. Go Carly!! Our team was seen out and about at various sporting events such as field hockey, soccer, football, and volleyball supporting our fellow Terps!
It's been an exciting year so far and we have some major potential in the pool. Follow our weekly blogs and look for updates on Facebook and Twitter! This next week is going to be THE BEST WEEK EVER!!!
