
Kauffman Earns Academic Honors

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior Danielle Kauffman was named to two of the University's most prestigious honor societies recently - School of Public Health honorary society, Phi Alpha Epsilon, and the kinesiology honors program.
Phi Alpha Epsilon is open undergraduate students in Family Science, Community Health, Kinesiology, and Physical Education. To be eligible, undergraduate students must have junior standing, a minimum of 24 credits earned at UMD, and an overall grade point average (GPA) of 3.5. Only ten percent of students qualify for this recognition.
For admission to the kinesiology honors program, students must submit a written request letter to the honors chair and must have an overall GPA of 3.50 on a minimum of 45 credits.
Kauffman and the Terps (10-1, 3-0 ACC) head south this weekend to take on No. 8 Duke (7-4, 2-1 ACC) Saturday at 1 p.m. at Williams Field.
