COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Maryland Director of Intercollegiate Golf Jason Rodenhaver announced the signing of Heidi Baek to the class on 2012 on Monday. The Suffolk, England, native has been a member of the English women's national team since 2008.
"Heidi will be an impact player for our program," said Rodenhaver. "She is a great young lady both on and off the golf course and we really look forward to her addition to the Terrapin family."
Baek began playing golf at the age of 13, and in 2007 captured the English U-15 Girls championship. In 2010, Baek won the United States Junior Masters with a 12-over 228.
Recently, Baek won the 2011 London Foursome with her partner, Alex Peters. Baek currently attends Wellington College in the Berkshire village of Crowthorne.
