Terps Remain in Top-10 at Eagle Landing

JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - Junior Jessica Hollandsworth used a team-best 73 to jump up into a 16th-place tie and keep the University of Maryland women's golf team in the top-10 Saturday at the JMU Invitational in Jacksonville, Fla.
Hollandsworth entered Saturday's round-two action tied for ninteenth, but jumped up three spots after shooting one over par, the top performance for the Terps.
Sophomore Christine Shimel's 75 kept her in the top-20, tied alongside Hollandsworth at 16 while senior Kerri Connolly and sophomore Hayley Brown are tied for 51st at 156 after two days. Senior Hilary Lawson is tied for 81st at 161.
After starting Saturday tied for 13th, Chattanooga's Christine Wolf is in first place individually thanks to her round-best 66. Florida Gulf Coast's Briana Carlson, Chattanooga's Emma de Groot and East Carolina's Amy Otteson and Colleen Estes are all locked in a tie for second at 146.
The Mocs of Chattanooga remain in first place and have extended their lead thanks to a second-round 285. East Carolina is in second at 594 after two rounds while Campbell is in third at 603.
The Terps will look to improve upon their top-10 standings Sunday with final-round action beginning at 8 a.m.
