GREENSBORO, N.C. - Junior Jessica Hollandsworth shot her second consecutive 71 and the University of Maryland women's golf team finished Day 2 in sixth place at the Atlantic Coast Conference Championships, held at the Sedgefield Country Club.
Saturday's play was temporarily halted due to inclement weather, though the action resumed later in the afternoon.
After leading the Terps on Friday, Hollandsworth repeated with another par 71 Saturday, tying her for third amongst individuals.
Hilary Lawson is second on the team with a combined 153, tying her at 21st. Christine Shimel sits tied for 27th at 156 while Hayley Brown and Kerri Connolly round out the Maryland golfers at 159 and 162, respectively.
North Carolina's Allie White and Wake Forest's Cheyenne Woods are tied for first at 140, with Hollandsworth sitting just two strokes back.
As a team, Maryland held its ground Saturday and remains in sixth place with a combined 607.
North Carolina extended its first-place lead by shooting a day-best 286, giving the Tarheels a 14-stroke advantage over second-place Duke and Virginia. Florida State is in fourth at 602 while two-time defending champion Wake Forest is in fifth at 310.
