COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Allison Campbell scored a pair of goals, including the game winner, and Shelby Reyes posted nine saves to lead the Maryland water polo team to a hard-fought 7-5 victory over 17th-ranked Princeton Saturday evening on Senior Night.

The win was the third straight for the Terps (15-13, 2-0) and put them atop the CWPA Southern Division standings.

"It was a great win for us," Maryland head coach Carl Salyer said.

Campbell's marker with 6:39 left in the game gave Maryland a 6-4 lead, the first two-goal advantage for either team.

Princeton's Katie Rigler answered with a power play goal less than a minute later, but Carly Hoshko added an insurance score with 5:11 left and the defense took over from there.

Reyes stopped a 5-meter penalty shot at the 4:20 mark and added a key save at 2:10.

"When we got the two-goal lead we locked down defensively," Salyer said. "We were active in the fourth quarter and did a great job helping each other out."

Maryland also got key contributions from its senior class.

Jessica Ernst and Elina Goldenberg, who were before the game along with Meghan Powers, Stephanie Ragheb and Ally Beck, each scored early in the third quarter to erase a 3-2 Princeton lead.

Freshman Katie Ermakova did not score, but was solid on both ends of the pool.

"Ermakova was all over the pool," Salyer said. "She drew attention from Princeton at the offensive end and was all over the pool defensively."

Rigler (two goals) equaled Campbell for game-high scoring honors and Kristen Ward posted eight saves for the Tigers (15-10, 2-1) who had their three-game winning streak snapped.

Maryland closes out the regular season Sunday with its last two division games. The Terps face Harvard at 10:30 a.m. and Brown at 3 p.m. (Check out @UMTerps for updates during both games). The contests will take place at the Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium.

Princeton and Brown will face each other at 9 a.m. in the first game of the day.

Admission is free to all games. Parking will be available in the Lot 2G lower which is adjacent to Eppley or Lot 6 Arena Garage. Click here to view a campus parking map.

The games featured this weekend will assist in determining the seeding for the CWPA Eastern Championship (note: there is no CWPA Southern Division tournament this season) which is scheduled for April 29-May 1 in Bloomington, Ind.
