Meet Results 
ATHENS, Ga. - The University of Maryland gymnastics team placed fifth in the NCAA Regional Championships Saturday at the University of Georgia. The fifth-seeded Terrapins earned an overall score of 193.200.
Senior Abigail Adams and sophomore Ally Krikorian led the Terps, who earned their third consecutive trip to the tournament.
Adams, who was also Maryland's highest all-around competitor with an overall score of 38.550, tied for 10th on bars. Krikorian, who led the team in vault this season, tied for fifth in the event with a 9.875.
After receiving a bye in the first rotation, Maryland started the meet on bars. Adams led the Terps with a 9.825, the fourth-best score on the night, followed by a 9.750 by sophomore Kesley Cofsky. Senior Kaitlin Joseph and freshman Elizabethe Manzi both pitched in scores of 9.700. As a team, the Terps earned a 48.625 in their first event.
On beam, senior Jenn Iovino earned a team-high 9.700 with Manzi right behind her at 9.675. Joseph earned a 9.475 and Adams, a 9.150.
In their third event, floor exercise, the Terps earned 48.625 thanks to a pair of 9.800s by Adams and Cofsky. Freshman Katy Dodds brought in a 9.750 while Joseph and junior Kyra Phillips earned scores of 9.675 and 9.600, respectively.
Maryland closed out its performance at regionals with the team's best showing in any of the four events. The Terps earned a 48.925 on vault, led by Krikorian's 9.875, followed by Dodds at 9.825. Adams and Phillips both earned scores of 9.775 and none of the six Terrapins to compete scored below a 9.575.
Top-seeded UCLA won the region with a team score of 197.425 while Georgia also advanced thanks to its 196.750. In third was LSU, which hit 195.350, followed by NC State at 194.750. West Virginia rounded out the Athens region with a score of 192.500.
