INDIANAPOLIS - Junior Jessica Hollandsworth will represent Maryland at the 2011 NCAA Division I Women's Golf Championship Regionals, the league announced Monday as it released the complete list of participants.
Hollandsworth will make her third consecutive appearance at regionals after competing as an individual her freshman season and as a part of the tournament-qualifying team last year.
The Floyd, Va., native led the Terps in all four spring events in 2011 and placed fifth individually at the ACC Championship, where she shot 220 over three rounds.
Three regional tournaments will be conducted May 5-7 to determine the championship field. Regional tournaments are considered preliminary rounds of NCAA championships competition, and all national championships policies apply.
A total of 378 participants have been selected for regional competition. Of these players, 126 will advance to the championship finals. Eight teams and two individuals will advance from each regional.
The championships finals will be held May 18-21 at the Traditions Club in Bryan, Texas and will be hosted by Texas A&M University, College Station.
