
Men's and Women's Tennis Make NCAAs

INDIANAPOLIS - Maryland's men's and women's tennis programs had their rebuilding processes validated Tuesday when both teams were invited to the NCAA Tournament.
The Terrapin men will face Michigan (13-10) in the first round on either May 13 or 14 in Durham, N.C.
Maryland (12-12), which is ranked No. 44 in the nation, is seeded No. 3 in the Duke regional, while the Wolverines, who are 28th in the country, are the No. 2 seed.
The Terps have never made the NCAA men's field since it went to a single-elimination tournament format in 1978.

The Maryland women's team, which is in the NCAA field for the first time in five years, will face Washington (12-10) in opening-round action on either May 13 or 14 in Chapel Hill, N.C.
Maryland (13-9), which is ranked 33rd nationally, is seeded No. 3 in the North Carolina four-team regional, while the Huskies are second and ranked No. 28 in the country.
