COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Junior Jessica Hollandsworth recently was selected to compete in her third consecutive NCAA regional championship. After being selected as an All-ACC honoree and one of six individuals to compete in the West Regional, Hollandsworth took some time to answer a few questions for UMTerps.com

Q: What attracted you to the University of Maryland?
Hollandsworth: I came to Maryland because it is a great school academically, as well as athletically. The Holman short game facility was also a huge factor, so was the convenience of the course to the campus. We are very lucky to have such a wonderful course so close to campus.

Q: What is your favorite part of the University of Maryland?
Hollandsworth: My favorite part of the University of Maryland would have to be the basketball games. I go to almost all of the games, I only miss them if I am traveling for golf. I would also say the best part is the competitiveness of the ACC.

Q: What is the best part and the hardest part of being a student-athlete at Maryland?
Hollandsworth: The best part about being a student-athlete at Maryland is the opportunity to compete in the ACC. The hardest part is time management.

Q: How does it feel to be representing the University of Maryland at the NCAA Regional?
Hollandsworth: It's such a great opportunity, but I wish I could have shared the experience with my teammates.

Q: What are your life goals and aspirations after graduation?
Hollandsworth: For right now, my plan is to graduate in 2012 and turn professional that summer. I'm planning to play in as many Futures tour events as I can and see where that takes me.

Q: What are your personal and team goals for the rest of this year as well as next year?
Hollandsworth: My personal goal for this year is to become an All-American. As for next year, my goals are to improve my scoring average, win at least one tournament, and qualify for NCAA's again. My hope for the team next year is for everyone to improve upon this year and make another appearance in the NCAA Tournament.

Q: What has your favorite experience been at the University of Maryland?
Hollandsworth: My favorite experience at Maryland was when the men's basketball team beat Duke in 2010.

Q: What is your proudest or top athletic achievement to this point in your life?
Hollandsworth: I would say that my best athletic achievement is being a three-time All-ACC athlete.
