Terps Finalize 2011 Recruiting Class

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - University of Maryland wrestling head coach Kerry McCoy announced the signing of 13 student-athletes during the spring signing period, finalizing the Terrapins' 2011 class.
McCoy and the Maryland coaching staff picked up recruits hailing across the entire East Coast, from Georgia to New York.
“I am very happy with our class,” said McCoy. “I believe we have a great mix of talent and experience. I expect these guys to have an immediate impact on the program's overall success.”
This year's class will have an opportunity for immediate impact after the Terps celebrated the graduation of a number of accomplished seniors including starters Lou Ruland, Jon Kohler and ACC Tournament Most Valuable Wrestler Mike Letts.
With five recruits signing in the fall, Maryland now boasts an 18-recruit class which was recently ranked as high as 17th by W.I.N. Magazine.
