
Six Terps Land on ACWPC All-Academic Team

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - Six members of the Maryland Terrapins earned spots on the 2011 Association of Collegiate Water Polo Coaches (ACWPC) Women's All-Academic Team.
The program honors varsity and club student-athletes who have achieved grade point averages of 3.20 or higher and competed during the 2011 season. This season almost 400 student-athletes were recognized.
Student-athletes are honored in three different categories: Outstanding (3.71-4.00), Superior (3.41-3.70) and Excellent (3.20-3.40).
Maryland's Shelby Reyes and Nicole Tobin secured spots on the Superior team, while Christine Goetsch, Allison Campbell, Carly Hoshko, and Meghan Powers were on the Excellent squad.
Campbell, Hoshko, Reyes, and Goetsch were on the team last season.
Connecticut College topped the team grade-point average race (3.50). Maryland had a solid GPA of 3.123 during the 2010-11 academic year.
Reyes - Superior (3.41-3.70 GPA)
Tobin - Superior
Goetsch - Excellent (3.20-3.40)
Campbell - Excellent
Hoshko - Excellent
Powers - Excellent
