Final Round Results

HANAHAN, S.C. - Senior Jessica Hollandsworth carded a 3-under 69 to rise 17 spots on the leaderboard and finish tied for 38th on the final day of the Cougar Classic at Yeamans Hall Golf Club. Maryland placed 14th with a 901 (299-305-297).

Freshman Juliet Vongphoumy concluded her first collegiate tournament by firing a 2-over 75 (75-76-75) to place tied for 63rd. Junior Christine Shimel finished just behind Vongphoumy. Shimel tied for 67th after shooting a 3-over 76 (73-78-76) in the final round.

Junior Hayley Brown and senior Lauren Varnas wrapped up play for the Terrapins. Brown and Varnas finished with a 228 and 224, respectively.

LSU won the team competition with an 848 and the Tigers' Austin Ernst took home individual honors with a 203 (67-69-67).

The Terps will be back in action on September 19 at Cardinal Club Golf Course as part of the Napa River Grill Cardinal Cup.
