COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
The Maryland women's golf team opens play at the John Kirk Panther Intercollegiate hosted by Georgia State University at the par-72, 6.047-yard Eagle Landing Country Club on Monday, March 26. The two-day event will feature 36 holes of golf tomorrow and will feature a shotgun start at 9 a.m.
The Terps
Maryland enters the tournament with three straight second-place finishes and three players ranked in the top 15 in scoring in the ACC.
Freshman Juliet Vongphoumy is second in the league with a 73.35 average and is the conference's top-rated freshman.
Junior Christine Shimel tied for seventh last weekend at the Pinehurst Challenge. Shimel is ninth in the ACC in scoring (74.35), while senior Jessica Hollandsworth is 15th with a 75.00.

The tournament begins Monday with a shotgun start at 9 a.m., with the second round to follow the conclusion of the opening round.
Third round play will be held Tuesday with tee times beginning at 9 a.m.
In addition to Maryland, the field includes: Campbell, Daytona State College, East Tennessee State, Furman, Georgia State, Mississippi State, Murray State, Nova Southeastern, Jacksonville State and Western Carolina.
