BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - Maryland secured two of the three awards bestowed weekly by the CWPA Western Division.

Attacker Allison Campbell was named the CWPA Western Player of the Week and goaltender Shelby Reyes the top defender on Tuesday by the league office.

Campbell was dominant on both ends of the pool over the last week. She posted 11 goals, two assists and 12 steals in 13th-ranked Maryland's three wins. Campbell led the team in goals (four) and steals (four) in Thursday's 17-8 win over Somona State, and sparked a come-from-behind 10-8 victory over Pacific Saturday with two late goals. The junior then went on to match a career high with five goals in Sunday's 18-6 romp over Santa Clara.

Reyes won all three of her starts last week. She had five blocks in the comeback win over Pacific. Reyes had five more blocks, as well as two steals, in just more than two quarters of work in Sunday's victory over Santa Clara. The senior captain had 11 blocks in just over three quarters in the triumph over Sonoma State.

Rebecca Gerrity was nominated for rookie of the week after posting four goals, two assists and eight steals in the three games. Kamila Zakirova of Hartwick College was the week's top rookie.

Campbell, the reigning division player of the year, won her third weekly award of the season (also Feb. 1, Feb. 28). Reyes was the defensive player of the week on Feb. 28.

Maryland (14-4, 4-0) is coming down the home stretch with the regular-season division title on the line.

The Terrapins have won three in a row and nine of their last 10 games and now close the season with three home games.

The Terps face 12th-ranked Princeton at 10 a.m. Saturday at Eppley Recreation Center Natatorium and then have division games vs. Salem International (April 6, 4:30 p.m.) and No. 10 Michigan (April 7, 1 p.m.).

Maryland and Michigan are tied for the Western Division lead.
