AWENDAW, S.C. - Senior Sean Brannan finished with a 54-hole season-low 224 (73-71-80) Tuesday to lead the Maryland men's golf team to a tie for 14th at the Hootie at Bulls Bay Intercollegiate at the Bulls Bay Golf Club. Sophomore Sean Bosdosh carded a 5-over 77 for the Terps' low round of the day.

Maryland completed the tournament with a 911 (293-299-319).

Brannan's 224 beat his previous season low by two strokes, which he set at the General Hackler Championships, and placed him in a tie for 38th.

Senior Joey Rice fired a 7-over 79 in the final round to finish in a tie for 51st with a 227 (74-74-79). Bosdosh tied for 54th with a 228 (75-76-77).

Freshman Jordan Sweet shot an 83 in the final round to place 69th with a three-round total of 234 (73-78-83). Freshman Ben Warnquist completed the tournament with a 235 (73-78-84).

Auburn won the team championship by nine strokes over Virginia. The Tigers' Niclas Carlsson won the individual title with a 5-under 211 (70-70-71).

The Terps will take a week off and return to action on Friday, April 6 at the River Landing Intercollegiate.
