COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
Four members of the 2011 national champion Maryland field hockey team will head to London this weekend to compete in a test series.
Maxine Fluharty, Katie Gerzabek, Ali McEvoy and Jill Witmer were all selected to play for the US Under-21 Team in a four-game series with England's Under-21 Team over the next week.
"I think the tour is going to be a really great opportunity for us to combine and become comfortable with one another," McEvoy said. "It will definitely help us in the future."
All four have strong international backgrounds. All have years of experience in the U.S. High Performance system and have won numerous titles around the world.
