POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Help Desk Coordinator (Tier One)
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Full-time, Exempt (114972)
RESPONSIBILITIES: The Help Desk Coordinator will provide Tier one support to Intercollegiate Athletics End Users. The selected candidate will manage the Help Desk Ticketing System, to include asset management, Knowledge Base information, and responding to and diagnosing tickets received from customers. The Help Desk Coordinator will also use remote control capabilities to assist end users with application and hardware issues, and at times visit the end user's desktop. The Tier 1 coordinator will escalate Tickets to the Tier 2/3 staff as appropriate and record the solutions into the ticketing system. This position will also be responsible for entry level networking tasks such as network printer configuration and joining machines to Active Directory.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree in an information technology related field or equivalent experience, education, and/or training is required. Minimum of 2 years' experience in desktop support preferred. Windows XP and Windows 7 installation, configuration, and troubleshooting knowledge required. Knowledge of Office 2003, 2007, and 2010 is desired (Installation/ Configuration/ Troubleshooting). Experience with Active Directory a plus. Network Printing installation and troubleshooting strongly preferred. Excellent customer service and client relations Skills are a must. Special consideration given to candidates with Apple OS X experience.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience
