BRIDGEPORT, Pa. - Four Maryland water polo players and their head coach were honored Thursday by the College Water Polo Association (CWPA).

Allison Campbell was named to the All-CWPA Western Division first team, while Katie Ermakova, Simone Lewis and Shelby Reyes earned second-team nods.

In addition, Carl Salyer was tabbed the division's coach of the year.

Campbell, Ermakova, Reyes and Salyer were honored for the second straight year.

Campbell was the 2011 CWPA Southern Division Player of the Year (Maryland changed divisions prior to the 2012 season), Ermakova was a second team choice, Reyes was on the first team and Salyer was the coach of the year.

Campbell is the team's top offensive threat again this season. The junior leads the team in goals (50) and points (71), as well as steals (61).

Ermakova is second in goals (40) and tied for second in points (53) with Lewis.

Reyes has started 14 of the team's 23 games, posting an average of 9.5 blocks per contest.

Salyer led the Terps to a first-place showing in the CWPA Western Division regular-season standings and the No. 4 seed in this weekend's CWPA Eastern Championship.

Maryland opens play Friday at Brown University. The Terps will play either fifth-seeded Hartwick (26-11) or 12th-seeded Notre Dame College (6-16) at 5 p.m. in the second round.

The first-place team in the CWPA Eastern Championship receives an automatic bid to the eight-team NCAA field.
