Maryland Kicks off Terps on Tour

OCEAN CITY, Md. - The University of Maryland athletic department kicked off the 2012 Terps on Tour Thursday, May 24, at The Green Turtle in Ocean City, Maryland.
Men's basketball coach Mark Turgeon, field hockey coach Missy Meharg and volleyball coach Tim Horsmon were in attendance, along with student-athletes Nick Faust from men's basketball and Maxine Fluharty from field hockey.
The event was the first of a seven-stop tour around the region over the course of the next month, with the final stop coming in Arlington, Va., on June 21. The next event is Wednesday, June 6 in Edgewater, Md.
Free to the public, Terps on Tour provides Maryland fans an opportunity to meet and interact with the coaches and student-athletes. In the tour's opening event, Turgeon, Meharg and Horsmon participated in a question-and-answer session with fans and alumni in attendance, before having a meet-and-greet session.
Faust and Fluharty also came on stage and participated in a "How well do you know your teammates?" game with their respective coaches.
