Terp Volleyball Wins President's Cup

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland volleyball team was rewarded for its academic prowess Tuesday evening at the inaugural Terp Awards at the Clarice Smith Performing Arts Center on campus.
For the first time in program history, the squad won the President's Cup Team GPA Award, which was presented by University President Wallace Loh.
“One of the goals we set as a team was winning the President's Cup GPA Award,” said head coach Tim Horsmon. “We talk about it each summer and throughout the year. I'm really proud of our team for their academic successes and I think this shows how hard they work not only in the gym, but in the classroom as well. We have great kids in this program with great futures ahead of them.”
