
Team USA ties, then tops Argentina

CHARLOTTESVILLE, Va. - Former Terrapins Katie O'Donnell and Keli Smith Puzo combined for the U.S. National Team's lone goal in a 1-1 tie with No. 2 Argentina Monday night in Charlottesville.
Smith Puzo sent in a pass from the right sideline to O'Donnell for the tip-in with 19 minutes remaining in the game. Argentina's Noel Barriouevo tied it up off a penalty corner nine minutes later.
The Americans beat Argentina 2-1 Wednesday night in Norfolk, Va.

They will meet Thursday at 8 p.m. at Old Dominion as well. The final game will be Saturday at 1:30 p.m. at the National Training Center in Virginia Beach, Va. Saturday's game will be shown live on the NBC Sports Network.
Team USA, ranked No. 10 in the world, clinched its London bid with a 4-2 win over then-No. 1 Argentina in the gold medal game of the Pan Am games in Mexico in October.
