POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach, Softball (Pitching Coach)
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Non-tenured Faculty (100092)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Assist the Head Coach with the organization, development and implementation of a competitive, Division I women's softball program that competes in the Atlantic Coast Conference. Responsibilities include recruiting, scouting, coaching, travel coordination, program administration, fund-raising and other duties as assigned by the head coach. Develop and maintain effective interaction with students, colleagues, university staff, alumni and the general public. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential. Other duties as assigned by the Head Coach and/or the Director of Athletics.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required, master's degree preferred. Two years coaching experience required, preferably at the NCAA Division I, Professional or International level. Experience as a pitching coach is strongly preferred. Must be computer literate. Strong organization and communication skills necessary. Must be able to handle multiple tasks in a fast- paced environment.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
