POSITION VACANCY
POSITION TITLE: Head Coach, Baseball
DEPARTMENT: Intercollegiate Athletics
CATEGORY: Non-tenured Faculty (100122)
RESPONSIBILITIES: Organize and direct all aspects of the NCAA Division I Baseball program. Specific responsibilities include identifying and recruiting athletically and academically qualified student-athletes; scheduling and conducting regular practice sessions; developing, implementing, and enforcing team rules; overseeing the administrative process for team travel, budget, student-athlete eligibility and academic progress; participating in fund raising and public relations activities; and promoting the philosophy and objectives of the Intercollegiate Athletics program that student-athletes should be successful athletically and academically. Knowledge of and commitment to compliance with all NCAA, ACC and University rules and regulations as well as dedication to full academic development of student-athletes are essential.
QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelor's degree required. Must have at least 3-5 years of demonstrated successful coaching experience in collegiate baseball, preferably as a Head Coach. Must have demonstrated knowledge of NCAA rules and regulations. Excellent and demonstrated communication and organizational skills. Ability to rally alumni support for the program is a must.
SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
