COLLEGE PARK, Md. -
A big part of the excitement surrounding Maryland Football game days in 2012 will take place prior to each home game as fans are encouraged to enjoy "Terp Town" at the Samuel Riggs IV Alumni Center.
The event is being presented by Capital One Bank and is being coordinated by the University of Maryland Alumni Association and Intercollegiate Athletics.
This season's edition of Terp Town will enhance the gameday experience outside the stadium by expanding Terp Town festivities, including live musical performances, several food vendors and food trucks, street teams roaming the parking lots and a new express shuttle service providing convenient transportation from the Comcast Center parking lots to Terp Town.
"At Maryland, we are striving to provide the ultimate gameday experience for our alumni, students, fans and supporters at every game," said Director of Athletics Kevin Anderson. "College gamedays are always a special occasion and we believe Terrapin fans will enjoy the new and improved experience on campus this fall."
Inside Moxley Gardens, fans will be able to enjoy food, drinks and live music. Drink discounts will be available for all Alumni Association and Terrapin Club members with their membership card.
Live Musical Performances by Brian Farley Band (Sept. 1, Oct. 6 and Oct. 20) and Hot Tub Limo (Sept. 15, Nov. 3 and Nov. 17).
The action will begin three hours prior to kick off.
