Terps Set to Open Season

COLLEGE PARK, Md. - The Maryland men's golf team opens the 2012-2013 season this Saturday and Sunday at the Tar Heel Intercollegiate in Chapel Hill, N.C.

The Terps will look to three returnees in junior Sean Bosdosh, sophomore Jordan Sweet and senior Stephen Bosdosh, and two newcomers in Andrew McCain and Tom Harris this weekend.

The younger Bosdosh led the team with a 74.13 scoring average last spring, including a team-high four rounds at or below par. Sweet, meanwhile, led the team with a 72.33 scoring average last fall.

Other teams in competition are Boston College, Duke, East Carolina, East Tennessee State, Furman, Gardner Webb, NC State, North Carolina, UNC Charlotte, UNC Greensboro, UNC Wilmington, Note Dame, and Virginia Commonwealth.

Participants will play 36 holes Saturday and 18 on Sunday. Live scoring will be available on www.Golfstat.com and www.GoHeels.com.
