The Maryland women's golf team currently sits in ninth place at the Palmetto Intercollegiate in Charleston S.C. with a team score of 545. The first round was completed Sunday, but second round play was suspended because of darkness and will be finished tomorrow with a shotgun start of 8:30 a.m. The final round will be played tomorrow after the second round is finished.
Heidi Baek led the Terps Sunday. She is currently tied for 21st place overall. Baek shot a 72 in the first round and has a score of 58 in the second round through13 holes. Juliet Vongphoumy is tied for 45th currently after a first round score of 77 and a score of 65 through 15 holes of the second round. Emily Gimpel is tied for 52nd overall after a first round score of 79 and a score of 61 through 14 holes of the second round. Alexandria Papell is tied for 66th after shooting an 83 in round one and shooting a 56 through 13 holes of round two. Jessica Gregory rounds out the group and is tied for 87th overall. She had a round one score of 77 and is shooting a 75 through 15 holes of round two.
Georgia State and East Tennessee State sit atop the leaderboard with scores of 530.
