Maryland Upends Bucknell, 7-0
VILLANOVA, Ra. - Bucknell's field hockey team opened up the 1997 season with a 7-0 loss to nationally-ranked Maryland at Villanova University on Sunday afternoon.
Bucknell held Maryland to a 2-0 lead in the first half. The Terps were led by senior Lyndsay McVicker, who scored three goals and logged one assist. Carla Tagliente and Nadine Bennett added two goals each.
Maryland 1-0 outshot Bucknell 41-1 and maintained a 16-5 edge in penalty corners.
